Cal Reiet

What a bliss. Cal Reiet (‘house of the little king’) is likely one of our best discoveries on the island so far. This amazing holistic retreat in Santanyi, owned by a Swedish/Swiss couple, opened it’s doors only a year ago, but already gained quite a following. From travelers to locals. Everyone we spoke with got pretty wowed by well…basically anything they offer.

We tried to unveil what it is that got us all so stunned, but we seriously cannot narrow it down to just one sentence. Sure, the location is great, the food is fantastic, the interior is close to perfection and the staff is more than excellent. But for us the best thing about Cal Reiet is that they kindly invite you to live the little things. From the flowers in your room to the warm welcome upon arrival. Staying here actually feels like home. With the hosts as your friends and the entire property as one big comfortable couch.

Breakfast for instance isn’t just breakfast. It’s an energizing experience that comes with a wide variety of healthy yums, made with love and served with a smile. Oh, and some great stories. If you’re interested. Have a seat at their communal table if you’re up for a nice conversation with the other guests. But if you prefer to keep it calm, than find yourself a nice spot near their beautiful pool surrounded by palm trees and mucho cacti love.

〰 Above some pictures we took to get you a taste of the slow Mallorcan life that Cal Reiet offers. But to really understand their concept we highly recommend you to book a room and experience for yourself. (text & photos: Ratna/Projectsis)
